Because Glacius and his species have such unique perceptions and understandings of their will--and because Glacius himself has such an immensely strong will-- it will be very difficult. It will likely put strain on Carlisle, and Glacius may be able to rally himself against it and snap out of it depending on the situation. Of course there's also the fact that subversion of will is an incredibly touchy subject for his people, so it could lead to extremely negative CR for some time (also depending on the situation). Basically I approach this like I approach a lot of other stuff in RP: just so long as we hash it beforehand so we can plot out character motivations/reactions and possible CR consequences, I'm cool with it.
