Glacius, admittedly, is not sure what to expect from this interaction either. He's never allowed someone to interact with his Mote before, particularly not a human--and while Carlisle's natural attunement to the energy of living beings has allowed him to work with the alien's metaphysical energies just fine in the past, he's never accessed them through such a direct link, and never in the heat of such an impassioned moment. There's always the risk of feedback rebounding across the link, resulting in an unpleasant overload not unlike what happened the time the clergyman healed his hip so long ago... but the otherworldly being finds it hard to focus on any potential hiccups with this sharing of himself when Carlisle is responding so wonderfully, shivering and shuddering as his own energies continue to probe at the alien's.
And then, just like that, they merge and flow together as Carlisle's hand presses to that radiant light. The Mote pulses brightly and thrums against the cleric's palm as if acknowledging his access of the metaphysical link presented to him, and then a flood of the otherworldly being's energy courses around the human's, sweeping it up and carrying it effortlessly along like the powerful waves that burst forth from a dam. It is full of vitality, much like the alien himself: a source of untapped strength ready to nourish his partner's. To someone that often struggles to maintain his own, having this much energy at his fingertips will likely give quite the feeling of elation or euphoria... which should compound nicely on what Carlisle is feeling physically.
And therein lies another layer of the Mote; though it will take deeper searching to access all these different levels, which may not be entirely possible with the distraction of their coupling, the clergyman will likely Carlisle feel the beginnings of some feedback from the metaphyiscal link. It is the feeling of the Glacius' arousal in addition to his own, compounding on it... and beneath that is something less carnal, more emotional: a swelling feeling of adoration and love. Should Carlisle find himself hungry enough to try to probe into these deeper levels, he will be able to experience for himself exactly how powerful his lover's feelings for him are.
