Hello, this is Carlisle. I mean, it's not Carlisle as in I'm actually answering you right now, so if you're trying to reply to me at the second, you should probably save your breath because I'm not really here. This is some kind of a recording of my voice, but this is my communicator. I'm going to assume these devices are as common here as they are in other places — not my world, but others, ones more technologically advanced than where I come from— so if you'd like to leave me a message, then you may do so here, or er... But that wouldn't help that guilty feeling in his gut that he gets when he considers he once robbed Shadow of his free will, and when the hedgehog was trying to protect him, albeit in a way that Carlisle didn't approve of. He sighs. The bear sitting outside the closet door hears that, and groans in tandem. He'd help alleviate Carlisle's stress if he knew how. It might help, of course, if he wasn't a bear, the animal of which Carlisle is the most terrified.
But he is, and so Carlisle is trapped in the closet of his apartment, unwilling to open the door and let the bear in. It's not nearly as much distance as he'd like from the creature, but at least the door keeps him from seeing it. It also keeps him from reaching Shadow, though. Ah, but who does he know who could help Shadow? Who is friends with him, even? That's right -- Kate.]
Where are you? I'll need your location.

[Time to send Shadow some help -- it just might not be the help he's expecting.]
