Forgive the message without a preceding introduction. I am Dr. Gottlieb. When I spoke to Miss Maketh about the reports she and the guard had written on Hadriel, as well as about the possibility of a guide application for the phone, she mentioned that you also had written reports. She also said that you had been trapped in a different, similar place before this one.

I understand if they are personal reports. However, if you would be willing to share, I would be very interested in reading them. I would also be interesting in discussing what would be permitted on and appropriate for the application mentioned.

[As it turns out, Carlisle is home -- he's just not up and about. After Kate left and he replied here and there on the network (because she insisted he do so at some point), Carlisle had promptly crashed on the couch in a manner most unbecoming for a man of his profession. Of course, most clergymen wouldn't have been drinking copious amounts of alcohol either, but given his frustration over his inability to properly draw glyphs, he couldn't be bothered to care.

He's not fully visible from the window, but if Shadow looks carefully, he can see the lanky cleric's foot hanging off one end of the sofa, his arm outstretched over the other end.]

GLACIUS WHY YOU THIS SWEET

[Given how poorly he slept the night before -- not that that turned out to be a bad thing, for a change -- Carlisle is dozing when Glacius calls, so he gets the message a bit later when he's managed to pry himself from the bed. He's still fatigued, still ought to be resting... but he can't help but smile as he listens to the recording.

... And then listens to it again. It's... nice to be thought of, to be on someone's mind for reasons other than what he can do for them, both good and bad. He'll have to think of a nice way to return the gesture -- working on the glyphs for conjuring snow will be a good start.]

[It's only been a couple of days since Glacius was able to utilize Healing Ice, and the effects have immediately been noticeable. Not only have his injured gills been completely healed and all traces of his respiratory infection utterly wiped clean, but after resting and rejuvenating in the ice and snow bat provided by his friends, he's operating in peak physical condition for... well, the first time in a damn long time. It probably won't last long given how often terrible things are slung at everyone in this cave, but for the time being, he's feeling much better about being seen in public, particularly the Guard Headquarters where he most feels like he has an image to uphold. When someone walks in he wants them to see a strong, capable, and respectable representative, not a creature ravaged by sickness and injury, or marked by a scar garnered from conflict...

... Which just so happens to be the reason he's still wearing the alien helmet when sitting behind a desk at HQ. The right side of his face is still disfigured and the galactic marshal hadn't commented on that to anyone, though it's at odds with not only with how much grief he's suffered over the marks in the past, but with what he told Carlisle about Healing Ice being able to heal any malady or injury. At this point he's not really expecting to be called on it; the clergyman must simply be assuming that a scar doesn't count as an "injury" any more, given how it has healed over as much as possible.

It's as he's considering everything his friends have done for him and all of the little nuances inherent in that process that he hears the door to the building creak open; pried from his thoughts, Glacius rises to his feet on a reflex, his posture straight and proud and his arms folded behind his back--ready to assist whoever has come by looking for help. This, however, seems from the get-go that it's going to be a different sort of visit: a familiar face stands in the doorway and the alien relaxes minutely, his expression brightening underneath his helmet.]

Carlisle..! It is good to see you. What brings you by the Headquarters? Is everything alright?

[Though he can't see Glacius' expression through the helmet, Carlisle hears his tone brighten. He's glad to see to see the alien in good spirits again, given that only two days prior, he was suffocating in the streets of Hadriel. Though Glacius has been aglow with positivity since his recovery, Carlisle has been as cautious as always, any optimism he may have bordering on tentative, at best.

But he does offer Glacius a smile at the greeting. He's been on the mend himself, though with no option to heal by lying around in some snow, it's taking him quite a bit longer than his partner. The stiffness from his joints eases out day by day, and he clearly felt well enough to do some baking on this one, if the slight coat of flour on him is any indication. That likely gives Glacius an idea as to what he's got in the bag hanging from his shoulder, as well.

Carlisle steps inside, having hardly been in the Guard's headquarters; he's never had much of a reason to go there.]

Yes yes, everything is all right. I just, ah. Thought you might like some company when you have a moment.

[After the beep, there's a bit of silence before someone starts speaking. It's a man, an older man at that, with an oddly British accent with a slight archaic vibe. His diction is utterly perfect giving away that the speaker is indeed someone hailing from royalty.]

Good Evening, Carlisle.

I am Regis Lucis Caelum and I was told by another to seek your aid regarding a rather sensitive matter. I shall spare you the unnecessary details but are you possibly free this week? It's a matter that requires your unique healing abilities.

[Given he comes from one of those fancy fantasy worlds, he picks up on the royal airs this fellow gives off almost immediately. The proper way he introduces himself helps.]

Good evening to you as well, Mister Caelum. [Prooobably should be a more formal title in front of that.] Though I suppose that, if you are in need of healing, it's not all that good, now is it?

[Dumb jokes aside—] It would be my duty and honor to aid you in any way possible, and whenever is most convenient for you.

[Well, but in light of Carlisle's rambling answering machine message, Marian's own message is more of a dryly spoken:]

Carlisle may have been quietly reserved regarding his emotions, given what he is sure is the gods' tampering with them, but he does little to hide his arousal as Glacius pulls his drawers off, the alien's name on his lips once again as he drags that mandible across his skin.

Another chuckle escapes him suddenly, his nerves never quite settling as he tries to vocalize his feelings. "I don't- don't deserve such things, such a- attention from you. But—"

His eyes flutter open."... but Cisth, I- I want you. I want you, Glacius, above so many things."

"And I, you," Glacius smiles, his gaze suddenly full of far more than lust--though that's no less present after such a stirring confession, there's adoration for his partner there too, the alien's hearts touched by the moment of honesty. He dips his head, taking his partner in one hand, stroking him slowly and nuzzling against him at the same time, eager to do whatever he can to reward him for being so wonderfully open and earnest about his need. His other hand curls in the bottom of Carlisle's shirt, tugging gently at it again; clearly he wants to be as close as possible right now, and what clothes the cleric has left on him are only getting in the way of that.
